Total Protein and Paper electrophoretic Fractions of the Serum and Aspirated Fluid Derived from the Patients of Chronic Hydrocele Testis

Abstract
Many reports are found in the literature on the electrophoretic study of various urogenital diseases except for hydrocele testis. It is also author¢¥s opinion that the correlation between hydrocele testis and the dysfunction of other organs must be more cleared up.
On the point of this view, the author has studied the total protein and paper electrophoretic fractions of the serum and aspirated fluid derived from the patients of chronic hydrocele testis in 15 male patients;¢¥ 18 to 37 years of age, who had hydroceles of the tunica vaginalis of 1 to 22 years in duration in our department during the period from. October, 1957 to September, 1959. The results were obtained as follows;
1. Total protein and electrophoretic fractions of patient¢¥s serum:
a) The amount of total protein decreased very slightly.
b) Albumin decreased slightly.
c). Alpha globulin, beta globulin and gamma globulin are unchanged.
d) A/G ratio decreased slightly.
All of the above patterns were compared with normal rate.
2. Total protein and electrophoretic fractions of the aspirated fluid:
a) The amount of total protein, albumin, alpha globulin and A/G ratio decreased remarkably.
b) Gamma globulin decreased slightly.
c) On the contrary beta globulin increased moderately.
All of the above patterns were compared with patient¢¥s serum rate.
